I’m Elliot Lahn, and I’m running for Platte County Treasurer because people have lost trust in county government.

 

Across Platte County, I hear the same thing. People are tired of turning on the news and seeing our county in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Tired of the drama. Tired of the dysfunction. Tired of feeling like no one is truly looking out for them.

That is not how local government is supposed to work.

This race is about more than one office. It is about restoring trust and bringing stability back to county government. It is about replacing a broken, insular establishment with fresh voices who will advocate for the people of Platte County.

 

The Treasurer’s Office should be part of that reset. It should be steady, accountable, and focused on doing its job right every single day. No confusion. No distractions. Just responsible management of taxpayer dollars.

 

I bring experience in operations, finance, and leadership, along with an MBA focused on economics, finance, and ethics. More importantly, I bring a commitment to doing things differently.

 

Platte County deserves a fresh start and leadership that puts people first.
